Jon L. Martin earned his J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Cincinnati and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in multidisciplinary studies--Economics, Political Science, and International Studies--from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. He is admitted to the Florida Bar as well as the Bankruptcy Bars for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida in the Eleventh Circuit Federal District Courts. Currently, he chairs the Martin County Bar Association Bankruptcy Committee in Martin County, Florida. Jon serves on the Consumer and Business Bankruptcy Committee of the American Bar Association, the Consumer and Business Bankruptcy Committees of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, and the Florida Turnaround Management Association. He represents individuals and businesses in Chapter 7, 11, 12, and 13 proceedings and counsels clients on bankruptcy avoidance strategies, always mindful of tax implications and IRS considerations.
