John & Nancy have an extensive background in both education and real estate. John has taught middle school, high school, and at three universities as well a being a counselor and administrator. Nancy has taught at the grade school and university level and has also done corporate training. We have been licensed Realtors for over 30 years. We have attained the GRI (Graduate Real Estate Institute) designation, the equivalent of a master's degree in real estate, and attend graduate classes each year. It is essential to keep up on all the laws and real estate trends. We have four children, all married, and fifteen grandchildren. We love helping people find a great property whether it is a primary residence, second home, or land. We live at Apple Canyon Lake located in the heart of JoDaviess County. The majority of the properties we offer for sale are located at the lake. It is a beautiful 450 acres lake which offers boating, fishing (with regular bass tournaments), swimming at the beach or pool, skiing, golf, tennis, camping, and more. There is a great restaurant located at the water's edge. It is just a short drive to Galena, IL. We enjoy sharing this scenic corner of Illinois.
