Nick is Broker of Record and Senior Vice-President for all Long & Foster Real Estate Companies, the largest privately owned real estate company in the world, where he strives to bring the BEST tools and practices to all L&F agents and managers which enables them to be the BEST equipped practitioners in the business. Nick served on the Maryland Real Estate Commission for over 16 years. He was elected chair 13 times. The 48-year real estate veteran's career includes 5 years as vice president of operations for Coldwell Banker NRT for the Mid-Atlantic region, 6 years as senior vice president for Coldwell Banker Stevens Real Estate and 16 years as senior vice president and general manager of Coldwell Banker Nyman Realty, three of the largest real estate companies in the country according to Real Trends magazine. Nick has served at NAR as a director, liaison, member of the Enlarged Leadership Team, Executive Committee and many committees, task forces and PAGs. He is a second level ($50,000) RPAC Hall of Fame inductee. D'Ambrosia is active in the Maryland Association of REALTORS(r) (MAR) and was a director for 13 years. He is the recipient of MAR's prestigious Life Achievement Award for 2006. He was the 1997 MAR REALTOR(r) of the Year, and served as MAR's president in 1995. D'Ambrosia also served as the 1996 president of the Metropolitan Regional Information Systems, Inc. (MRIS), 1994 president of the Prince George's County Association of REALTORS(r), is a past director of the Southern Maryland Association of REALTORS(r) and past chair of the Prince George's County Federation of Associations. D'Ambrosia was twice named REALTOR(r) of the Year by the Prince George's County Association of REALTORS(r), is a recipient of their Educator of the Year Award and their Code of Ethics Award. The former dean of the Maryland REALTORS(r) Institute holds the Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB), Certified Real Estate Specialist (CRS) and Graduate of the REALTORS(r) Institute (GRI) professional designations and At Home With Diversity (AHWD). D'Ambrosia is active in numerous community organizations and resides in La Plata, Maryland with his wife, Ann, also an accomplished REALTOR(r).
