About
My Life as a Realtor... Though I've been a Licensed Realtor since 1991 (when I worked part-time as a Team Agent with McMillin Realty in the Poway/Rancho Bernardo area), I really began my own career as a "full-time" agent in 2001 when I joined Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Tierrasanta. I am currently a Top Producer in my office and I'm the proud recipient of many awards commendations received since that time. These include President's, Diamond Bronze Societies; Top Listing Sales Agent and Outstanding Performance Awards. I consistently rank among the Top Agents each month. I am privileged to be part of our "boutique" real estate office, centrally situated in the Tierrasanta Gateway Center (Santo Rd Highway 52), within the "Island in the Hills" serving all of San Diego County. We participate and are sponsors of many great community events such as the Taste of Tierrasanta, Relay for Life, the Tierrasanta 5k race,Patriots Day Parade and the Tierrasanta Community Garage Sale. In my Former Life ... Originally a "New Yorka," I grew up and attended college on Long Island at SUNY Farmingdale, majoring in advertising art and business. I worked a few years in Manhattan as a legal assistant doing the crowded bus and subway routine in the slush, rain, sleet and the muggy heat ... until I finally escaped in 1980, and I have been a happy San Diego resident ever since! Of course, as an arriving transplant to the West Coast, I enjoyed life at the "beach" in Point Loma, Pacific Beach and La Jolla for many years. I spent a good portion of my life in the North County Inland area, eventually migrating to the Central County Inland area where I now make my home in Tierrasanta! Moving around has given me a diverse perspective on the many neighborhoods in San Diego. When I first arrived here, I enjoyed a career as a Real Estate Bankruptcy Law paralegal for many years, and I believe my "broad horizons" and colorful background bring depth to both my social and professional skills. What I Bring to the Table ... My prior experience as a legal assistant enables me to look at real estate transactions with a special eye toward the details ... because as they say, "the devil is in the details!" I pride myself in being conscientious and do my best to pre-determine potential problems. I'm both a professional and a caretaker where my clients are concerned, and I like to treat everyone as a friend rather than just a business deal. I also believe I bring creative thinking and enthusiasm to every level of a transaction - and I "play well with others" too! This means I treat the agents and others involved in my transactions with respect, and they in turn, enjoy working with me and consider me an ally in ensuring a smooth escrow and successful closing -- so at the end of the day, a good experience is had by all. La Dolce Vita... My main goal as a Realtor is in serving the best interests of the clients I represent, both sellers and buyers. Ultimately, the better a job I do in finding you a dream home or selling your pride and joy, the better a reputation you will help me build among my new clients -- those you refer to me -- and building a good reputation based upon true concern, honesty and fair dealing is the cornerstone of success in any field, and it is the foundation for my own future in real estate sales. I take my job very seriously, and I am honored and privileged to be chosen as a representative in one of the most important decisions a person will make in their lifetime -- purchasing or selling their home. Is there Life after Real Estate?? Anyone who know me knows that I am an animal lover. Two Basenjis (Tin Man Dorothy) "own"me right now, and we enjoy daily hikes in Mission Trails Park near my home. Tin Man is a show dog (conformation and lure coursing), and he's had quite a bit of success already! He held rank as a Top-5 Basenji for 2017! For those of you unfamiliar with the breed, Basenjis are hounds, and known as the "barkless" dogs, an ancient breed from Central Africa (though there is some speculation that they are actually from another planet, and I tend to agree with that theory myself)! They are very unique, and mischief is their middle name! They occasionally dress up and pose for my marketing postcards -- and boy is that fun! I also like to spend time playing tennis, rollerblading around Miramar Lake, attending local theatre performances, and I also love to cook, travel and experience new places!
