Jim Turner I was born in Atlanta GA., attended Briarcliff High school, Dekalb College and the University of Georgia. After years in corporate America and working in regional sales management positions, I became VP of sales for a tax consulting company. I later started my own tax consulting firm, (TRA) Tax Recovery Associates, Inc. in 1991, a niche state & local tax consulting firm dealing in sales & use tax. Clients ranged from small manufacturing companies to fortune 500 manufacturing companies in twelve southeastern states. I have also served on the advisory board to SEATA, Southeastern Assoc of Tax Administrators, and the Georgia Plastics Counsel. After 21 years I opted to sell TRA and pursue a career in real estate. In 2011 I became a realtor in Augusta, GA., working with Meybohm Realtors. I successfully worked with sellers and buyers in the marketing and selling of homes, condos, land and commercial real estate. I currently hold: ABR- accredited buyer's representative; SRS-sellers representative specialist; CNE- certified negotiation expert. I am a full-time professional realtor and licensed in Georgia, South Carolina, Executive Club Level Producer 2016. While in Augusta, I served on the board of The Augusta Kiwanis Club 2010-2012, served on the board of Warren Golf Augusta, of Warren Baptist church for 4 years and attended Warren Baptist church as well as being actively involved in Sunday school activities. For the past 7 years I have been a committee chairman for the Junior Invitational Golf Tournament, hosted by Sage Valley in Aiken, SC. that hosts 54 of the world's top Jr golfers for a three day golf tournament. Several of the golfers have progressed to playing in the PGA tour. I am an instrument rated pilot (IFR) and had an airplane brokerage for 11 years. After 10 years in Augusta, and many years of vacationing on Myrtle Beach, SC and Sunset Beach, NC, my wife and I relocated to the coast and make our home in Little River, SC. I am a member of Ocean View Baptist Church in Myrtle Beach, SC. and love golf, flying, boating and fishing.
