Chris Thornton founded J.C. Thornton Company, LLC along with Brandi DiFebbo and Lance McGhee in the early 2000's on the standard of principled, professional service directed from the client's perspective. Chris has actively worked in the real estate profession in Arkansas for the last 16 years, with 13 of those years as a broker. As Principal Broker of J.C. Thornton Company, Chris' focus is on the professional growth and development of his associated friends and colleagues, and enjoys a consulting role as a part of the support team behind each agent in the firm. Chris enjoys working closely with friends and referrals from friends to assist them in buying and selling their homes and real estate investment properties. A significant portion of his time is dedicated to commercial real estate consulting and development of strategic investment partnerships. Having successfully completed all of the core CCIM courses as well as some elective coursework, he offers a strong base of knowledge to contribute to any project. He provides the experience of having performed site selection analysis, feasibility studies, and functioned as general contractor for successful commercial and multifamily projects in various cities across central Arkansas, as well as ownership and management in lodging and restaurant ventures. Having grown up in Helena, Arkansas, Chris went on to obtain his Bachelor's degree in Economics from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. During his time in school, he studied in Italy for a semester and later returned there for the last two years of his military service. With a strong commitment to community, state, and national service, Chris has served in numerous civic roles, including Alderman on the Conway City Council, 3 terms on the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce in Conway, Arkansas, Executive Board of the Chamber of Commerce in Clarksdale, Mississippi, President of the Coahoma County Tourism Commission, Arkansas Realtor's Association Risk Reduction Committee, ARA Professional Standards Committee, Faulkner County Board of Realtors Board of Directors, Conway Noon Rotary Club Board of Directors and Paul Harris Fellow, and the U.S. Army Airborne Infantry.
