I grew up just outside of Richmond, Virginia, but for as long as I can remember my heart has been here on the Outer Banks. Like many families, ours spent summers exploring different stretches of this sandbar--Ocracoke in the 80s, Corolla and Duck in the 90s, Nags Head in the 2000s. When my wife Sarah and I met, we gravitated south to the quieter, less-developed areas of Hatteras Island, drawn by the solitude and slower pace of life. In 2015, we purchased a second home in Frisco, and by 2018 we made the decision to raise our family here full-time. Today, my favorite roles are husband, father, and coach. Sarah and I were blessed with a son in 2014, and together we enjoy everything this incredible place offers--from fishing and surfing to boating on the Pamlico Sound and rec league sports.
