Jay A. Steinberg, of counsel and a business litigation attorney with Foley & Lardner LLP, represents and counsels clients in bankruptcy and real estate tax disputes. He is a member of the firm's Bankruptcy & Business Reorganizations Practice. Jay has served as trustee for companies in a variety of industries, including insurance, leasing, recreation, heavy equipment manufacturing, and transportation. He has also served as bankruptcy trustee for a nursing home, a funeral home, franchise operations, and investment partnerships. He has in excess of 40 years of experience representing clients in contesting real estate tax assessments. He has represented owners of diverse properties including shopping centers, hotels, airports, and apartment and office buildings. In addition, he has represented bankruptcy trustees in contesting real estate tax assessments under II U.S.C. 505(b) of the United States Bankruptcy Code.
