Janice Jacques is an associate in the Houston office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the General Liability Practice. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Jacques practiced in insurance defense and has experience in personal injury, bad faith, uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage and premises liability. Ms. Jacques interned with the Harris County Attorney's Office, the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Southern District of Texas, and the Harris County District Attorney's Office. After completing the certified mediation training at South Texas College of Law Houston, she facilitated mediations for the Harris County Justice Courts through the Dispute Resolution Center.Ms. Jacques earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Southern University at New Orleans; a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from California State University at Dominguez Hills; and a Ph.D. in Educational Policy Studies from Georgia State University.Prior to attending law school at South Texas College of Law Houston, Ms. Jacques worked in various administrative leadership positions in secondary and postsecondary education.
