What inspires me the most about being a financial advisor is helping my clients learn about investing and guiding them toward achieving their goals. I especially enjoy it when clients realize they can retire and live comfortably. My accomplishments here at Edward Jones include serving as a "Visiting Veteran-Trainer" in St. Louis and Tempe during 2007-2009, 2013 and 2016. Over the years I have been a support specialist and level leader, helping to coach newer financial advisors. I have been a field trainer and mentor since 2006, and I was my region's leader for our field trainers from 2013-2016. I was a member of the firm's inaugural Women's Leadership Forum in 2008, and a member of the hiring team from 2013-2016. Additionally, I have received numerous Edward Jones recognitions and awards over the years. I earned my Accredited Asset Management Specialist(tm) professional certification in 2006. The College for Financial Planning awards the AAMS(r) designation to individuals who successfully complete a 12-module professional education program, pass a final examination, commit to its code of ethics and agree to pursue continuing education. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, scuba diving and taking care of my home and yard. Stephens City has hosted a Newtown Heritage Festival for 26 years. I have been on the organizing committee for 15 years, and have served as the food vendor coordinator, photographer and emcee of the two-day event. My branch office administrator, Tereasa Leckie, has worked alongside me since 2010. She is my right-hand person for client communication, administrative issues and first-class customer service.
