Jamil Francisco Karwash

I was born in San Francisco, California. My parents are natives of Nicaragua and spoke Spanish at home. I learned both Spanish and English at an early age. Because of my background, I understand and appreciate the various issues that good hard working people face in the community. I grew up and went to high school in the east bay city of Newark. I graduated from U.C. Berkeley in 2001 with a degree in legal studies. After college, I attended Seton Hall University School of Law in New Jersey. I graduated in 2005 and moved back to the Bay Area.
