James Patrick is an associate in the San Francisco office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the General Liability Practice.Mr. Patrick was born in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from Oberlin College, where he earned a joint degree in economics and government and varsity letters in soccer and baseball.Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, Mr. Patrick began his legal career as litigation paralegal with an international law firm before attending Santa Clara University School of Law from where he earned his law degree and was a Certified Practicing Law Student with the Santa Clara University Law Clinic.Mr. Patrick has thirty years of varied litigation experience resulting in dozens of successful summary judgments, jury trials, and appeals in personal injury, premises liability, professional liability, employment, and construction defect cases for the defense. He also served as General Counsel for the Oakland Unified School District and has been a lecturer at Santa Clara University and San Francisco State University.
