Jim received the Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering degree from Vanderbilt University. He then attended the University of Wyoming School of Law from where he completed studies in Property, Contracts, Agency and the first year in Criminal law. Jim then built his career first in Product Development at The Boeing Company followed by Market Research, becoming Director of Sales for Northern Europe and finally Director of Boeing International Corporation. While living in Europe he left Boeing to build The Daedalus Corporation. Jim is a founding partner of The Private Bank of Washington and has either been an owner, officer or director of various Worldwide companies and corporations that include Arbuthnot Leasing International, Minooka Trading of Hong Kong, Aeronautical Marketing Corporation, Point-of-Sales Systems, Inc. and McBreen Interior Design, Inc. Beginning in the year 2000 and working with Seibu Railways of Japan Jimfirst managed the construction of an existing resort residential development within the famous Mauna Kea Resort on the Big Island of Hawaii comprising 63 units in various stages of completion. Following that success Jim founded and is the sole owner of The J.R. Dollens Company, Inc.dedicated to developing World-class resort residential real estate. The latest venture included the permitting, design, construction, marketing and sales of 102 homes also within the Mauna Kea Resort on the Big Island of Hawaii. Jim is currently or has been a member of a number of professional societiesand business clubs. Jimresides in Washington and Hawaii. Jim, wishing to continue the vision originally set by Laurence Rockefeller and continued on by Yoshiaki Tsutsumi, has re-stablished the previously abandoned companies of Mauna Kea Properties, Inc. and Mauna Kea Development Corp. in the State of Hawaii. Under those 2 Hawaiian companies Jim continues to be involved in real estate development in Hawaii. Realizing that there exists a large amount of resort residential product Jimdecided to help market that inventory along the Kohala Coastobtained his realtor's license in the State of Hawaii and along with his National License joined the highly professional andsuccessful team at Hawaii Beach and Golf Properties.
