Howard was born March 10, 1942 in Mobile Al. Graduated Murphy High School, attended Auburn University, The University of Alabama and the University of South Alabama. Married Irene Brabner, his high school sweetheart, on September 29, 1961. They have 3 children, Ashley Y Garris, Lesley Y Vallas Jeffery A. Yeager, Nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Howard was a Registered Land Surveyor working for real estate developers until 1976 when he sold his surveying company and decided to use those proceeds and his previous work experience through that point to begin selling and developing real estate. Early projects in Mobile were Country Creek, Ashley Estates and Lantern Way. In 1979, when Hurricane Fredrick devastated the Alabama Gulf Coast, he was under contract to purchase Little Dauphin Island. The Hurricane destroyed the access to Dauphin Island and would take 3 years to again have a bridge to the Island. In 1980 He incorporated a new business, Yeager Realty Corporation in South Baldwin County where he developed and sold many developments in Gulf Shores, Orange Beach and Ono Island. In 1989, 10 years after the bridge was blown down , He dissolved Yeager Realty Corporation and formed Island Realty Corporation on Dauphin Island where he developed and sold many properties. Most notable are Audubon Place, Dauphin Island West, Sawgrass Pointe, Desoto Landing, The Fish Camps and our most photographed (tiny houses) The Dock. In 2018 he changed the name of Island Realty Corporation to Yeager Realty Corporation, moved the office back to Mobile seems to have come full circle and is anxiously awaiting to be of service applying the years of knowledge and expertise for buyers, sellers and land owners in South Alabama.
