In 1977 after my family and I had lived in Liberia, West Africa, Tangier, Morocco, Bangkok,Thailand and Okinawa, Japan we came to visit friends here in Port Angeles and quickly fell in love with this wonderful place. Having been born in Vienna, Austria I felt right at home in this lovely spot which not only boasts of the mountains but also of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. My family and I bought property and started to come here at least once every two years as we continued to live in the Philippines and Greece. In 1986 we moved here to stay and have been delighted with our choice. Prior to living overseas we had lived in Mill Valley, Marin County,CA, so you could say that I am a California transplant!!
