Most fulfilled when serving others, I became an attorney to practice public interest law.I began my career by clerking for two years in federal district court and two years at the appellate level for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.In 2014, I graduated from the Hillman Advocacy Program, an intensive NITA-based litigation training operated by the Federal Bar Association for the Western District of Michigan. During law school, I interned for Judge Susan N. Burke of Minnesota's Fourth Judicial District and the U.S. Department of Justice in the U.S. Attorney's Office for Minnesota, as well as Minneapolis Legal Aid and the National Law Center on Homelessness and Poverty. Through these experiences, I've developed the ability to quickly produce thoughtful legal analysis and honed my legal writing. I've also strengthened my ability to identify and synthesize controlling and persuasive legal authority in a breadth of practice areas.I hold a Master's Degree in Public Policy in housing policy and community development.
