One of the best law firms in the Nation. Mel Orchard is definitely equipped with the best knowledge and experience and such a compassionate individual. Highly recommend.
Always chasing a quick buck
While the firm declined to take my case, Donna did an exceptional job of communicating what was happening, why, and providing a more local referral that might be better suited. Prospective clients are often treated with respect because of the...

They are always “full” but don’t put that on their website or tell you. If you are full just say you are not taking any new cases and thanks for the inquiry. Be more professional.

The receptionist was very friendly, and very helpful...
Your typical ambulance chasing law firm. Dan Fleck is especially incompetent, taking cases he is totally unqualified for.
I spoke with Mark and even though there is not a conflict of interest they will not take my case due to the fact that we live in a small town and it is the only hospital in the area. Well what do you expect?! So I am screwed over by local lawyers...

About
Gerry Spence is widely recognized as one of the greatest trial lawyers of all time. He has spent his lifetime representing the poor, the injured, the forgotten and the damned against what he calls "the new slave master," a combine of mammoth corporations and gargantuan government. Today, Gerry continues working tirelessly, fighting for people, from his home in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Gerry Spence and The Spence Law Firm, LLC continue to take new cases -- big and small -- every day, both in Wyoming and across the country, to do their part to fight back against the new slave master.Gerry Spence and a team of lawyers from the Spence Firm are currently preparing for a federal civil rights jury trial in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa, Central Division. Gerry and The Spence Law Firm represent Terry Harrington -- the suit against the City of Council Bluffs, Iowa, alleges that Harrington's constitutional and civil rights were violated because he spent 26 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. Gerry was recently presented a special plaque honoring him for his sixty years of service in the Wyoming State Bar. He has tried cases across the country and he has earned many landmark and important victories for people over the years, but the Harrington case may be as important as any case, ever, in his career. Gerry Spence is set to begin the trial in Iowa on October 29, 2012. The case number is 4:03-CV-90616-RP-TJS.Gerry's most recent criminal trial, in 2008, was a defense of attorney Geoffrey Fieger. In the politically charged case brought by the Justice Department, Spence won complete acquittals for Fieger on a ten-count indictment alleging federal campaign contribution violations, conspiracy and obstruction of justice.Gerry Spence represented Brandon Mayfield, a modest Oregon attorney, against the United States in which Spence was instrumental in obtaining a federal court to hold the Patriot Act unconstitutional. He has tried numerous other important criminal and civil trials. He has never lost a criminal case either as a prosecutor or a defense attorney. He has not lost a civil case since 1969. Gerry Spence has won more multi-million dollar verdicts without an intervening loss than any lawyer in America.Spence is the founder of the nationally acclaimed Trial Lawyers College which established a revolutionary method for training lawyers for the people. He believes that what he has learned in a career should be shared with those who will continue to strive for justice on behalf of ordinary citizens. There he and his pro bono staff teach not only trial lawyers for the people but conduct a forum to help lawyers defeat the death penalty. He is the founder of Lawyers and Advocates for Wyoming, a not for profit public interest law firm which champions cases affecting public interest for clients who have nowhere else to have their voices heard.Spence has received numerous awards including an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree from the University of Wyoming; in 2008 he received the first Lifetime Achievement Award from the Consumer Attorneys of California (formerly California Trial Lawyers Association.) In 2009 he was inducted into the American Trial Lawyers Hall of Fame, which includes John Adams and Clarence Darrow. He was honored for law and letters by the American Academy of Achievement.Spence is the author of sixteen nationally published books, including the massive best-seller, How to Argue and Win Every Time; From Freedom to Slavery; O.J: the Last Word; The Making of a Country Lawyer; Murder and Madness; A Boy's Summer; With Justice for None; Give Me Liberty!; Gunning for Justice; Trial by Fire, Win Your Case; Bloodthirsty Bitches, and the Pious Pimps of Power; Gerry Spence's Wyoming; Smoking Gun and his widely acclaimed novel, Half-Moon and Empty Stars.Spence has been a frequent commentator on television, served as legal consultant for NBC television covering the O.J. Simpson trial and has hosted and appeared on Larry King Live and the Rivera Show numerous times and numerous other national television shows. He lives in Jackson Hole, Wyoming with his wife of forty years, Imaging. They have six children and thirteen grandchildren.County and Prosecuting Attorney, Fremont County, Wyoming, 1954-1962. Founder, Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyers College.
