Born and raised in the mid-Peninsula in a three-generation building and real estate family, Geoff's attraction to the Lake Tahoe area started with skiing.Learning to ski at Squaw Valley a couple of yearsprior tothe1960 Winter Olympics,skiing and the Tahoesummersbecame a life-long passionAfter graduating from UC Berkeley in 1973, Geoffmade the moveto North Lake Tahoe full-time. The next two years were spent operating a sailing school which taught overfour hundred North Tahoe residents sailing skills in the summers,, and skiing and going to night real estate classes in the Winter. Upon obtaining his real esate license in 1976, Geoff started working with Bill Chuba, owner of the River Ranch, at the current location of Tahoe Riverfront Realty, on the corner of Highway 89 and Alpine Meadows Rd. . Two years and a Broker's license later, Geoff purchased the company in 1978 . With skiing, sailing and college alumni as common denominators, Geoff quickly had a loyal following of clients, and has been a top producer every year since. Geoff has also been an ownerand principal in several large development projects, taking them from raw land through entitlements.
