Each month during the school year, one boy and one girl are selected from a different grade level (K - 8) to shine a spotlight on them for their ongoing efforts in giving back to the community (i.e., their school, church, neighborhood, etc.). An article about them appears in the local paper, The Hub, and Gail then donates $100 each month to the Hudson PTO to use toward enhancing the classroom experience. According to Gail, "recognizing those students is especially rewarding to me, and many of them send me the sweetest, hand-written notes thanking me for acknowledging their heart-felt accomplishments."
