About
Bryan has worked on challenging and noteworthy cases throughout his career. His focus is on representing injured people and their families against large corporations and the government. He has successfully settled or tried cases involving unsafe railroad crossings, injuries to children, civil rights, wrongful death or catastrophic injury, workplace accidents, products liability, and medical malpractice. He has also worked on cases involving business and commercial litigation including cases related to securities, copyright infringement, intellectual property, qui tam cases brought under the False Claims Act and other complex business disputes.NOTABLE REPRESENTATIONSBryan has worked hard to obtain real and beneficial results for his clients throughout his career. His results include record setting verdicts and settlements for his clients. Recently his work with fellow Spence partner Tyson Logan resulted in a $28.2 million dollar verdict for Amber Lompe who was poisoned in her Casper, Wyoming apartment by carbon monoxide created by a neglected furnace. The verdict was recently reported as one of the Top 100 Verdicts of 2013 by the National Law Journal. (Lompe v. Sunridge Apartments, LLC and Apartment Management Consultants, LLC)Earlier in 2013, Bryan's work with fellow Spence partner Mel Orchard resulted in a $13.6 million dollar verdict for client Jarvis Boggs who sued the City of Waterloo, Iowa, for the life altering injuries sustained in a car crash with a police officer. (Boggs v. City of Waterloo and Dustin Yates). Most recently, in July 2014, Bryan and Spence associate Grant Lawson obtained a verdict of $5.19 million in Sweetwater County, Wyoming for severe injuries to a young oil field worker injured on the jobsite. The jury found that defendant Merit Energy was just as responsible as the worker's employer and Merit will be responsible to pay over $2.3 million as a result. (Horr v. Merit Energy Company). In addition to noteworthy trial results, Bryan has worked to obtain many important and impressive settlements for his clients, including some of the largest settlements in the western states. His hard work and tenacity has earned him the respect of his professional peers, but more importantly, it has earned him the respect of the clients for whom he works so hard.AFFILIATIONSBryan is Board Certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. It gives the ordinary citizen the opportunity to obtain justice and gives the people -- through the jury -- the power to effect positive change for society. Power over wealthy corporations. Power over governments. The law, through the jury, gives the people power over the powerful."Fellow - American Bar Foundation(Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer by the National Board of Trial Advocacy)
