My agency has had strong roots in the Irmo community since it was established in 1988. The original owner was Jim Davis, and in 1999 the agency was purchased by Joyce Berry. I worked for Joyce for 13+ years before purchasing the agency in July 2018. The transition from a Licensed Sales Professional to an Agency Owner felt natural because I already know many of the customers on a personal level, and think of them more like family. I feel incredibly blessed to continue building relationships and helping friends and neighbors with their insurance needs. I couldn't imagine owning a small business anywhere else. I'm originally from New Mexico and grew up in El Paso, Texas. My husband, Charlie, and his family have been in the Irmo area since the early 1960s, and this area has felt like home since I moved here in 1989. I raised both of my children in this community, and they've grown to love it as much as I do. My daughter is a Licensed Sales Professional in my agency, and my son attends college full-time. I always look for opportunities to give back to the community through my agency. My team and I love participating in local events. Some of my favorite causes include the James R. Clark Memorial Sickle Cell Foundation and the Win Anyway Foundation which are both located in nearby Columbia. I also enjoy being a member of the Greater Irmo Chamber of Commerce which has been a great way to get to know other local business owners.When I'm not serving customers at my agency or giving back to the community, I love spending time with family. Some of my favorite things to do include trying new recipes, searching for a new read at local book stores, working in my yard or going to the movies. I also love taking our cocker spaniel, Sady, for walks in the neighborhood. I also enjoy walking the Lake Murray Dam with my husband, Charlie. An interesting fact about myself is that I received a music scholarship but decided to go a different direction. I do still love singing, though!My staff and I take great pride in providing outstanding service to each person who interacts with our agency.
