I am a partner at the litigation law firm of Miller Barondess, LLP. Our firm consists of approximately 25 lawyers. Our attorneys are diverse in background and experience. Many have previously worked at the largest law firms in the world before joining our firm. My practice is focused upon three areas including internet law, commercial litigation and intellectual property. My clients are primarily mid to large sized commercial businesses, entertainers and internet marketing companies. I handle a large volume of internet defamation and First Amendment cases for corporations and c-suite executives. These cases typically involve anonymous defamatory content appearing on message boards and search engine results. Many times, we institute satellite litigation and issue subpoenas to identify such anonymous tortfeasors. In connection with my First Amendment practice, I typically encounter issues concerning SLAPP suits, anti-SLAPP motions and Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. In the realm of intellectual property, I represent defendants and plaintiffs in copyright and trademark infringement cases. I also represent businesses in trade secrets cases. Frequently, we obtain or oppose preliminary injunctions and applications for temporary restraining orders. Finally, we handle general commercial litigation relating to breach of contract issues, insurance and unfair competition.
