An Oakland native and lifelong idealist, Erica became an attorney, so she could use her voice to effectuate positive social change. After law school, her passion for real estate and property law led her to work at a real estate brokerage and subsequently several boutique real estate firms before setting up her own successful practice. An Emeryville Planning Commissioner, an advisor to the city's Housing Advisory Board, and a pro bono attorney with the SF Bar Association's Eviction Defense team, Erica joins the Selfi team having seen firsthand the devastating effects of the housing crisis in the Bay Area and resolute in her belief that mortgage technology can ensure that financial meltdowns like 2008 never happen again. In her free time, Erica is an avid traveler, snowboarder, and gastronomist, that loves seeing live music and hanging out with family, friends and her cat when he deems she's cool enough.
