Born and Raised in South Orange County and raised by Realtors, I am a 2nd Generation Real Estate Agent. When I was a child I actually swore up and down that I would never get into Real Estate. After obtaining my AA from Saddleback College, I started a small business doing Cabinet/Furniture Refinishing and Interior Design while also obtaining my Computer Networking Certifications from Microsoft and Cisco. After about 5 years I sold my interest in my business and pursued a career in Financial Services. I received my Life Insurance and Securities Licences and started learning all about Financial Services Products. 3 years later I found myself disenchanted with the Financial Sector as I felt like it was a Hard Sell especially being in my Twenties still. It was at that point that my parents suggested I get my Real Estate License and become a Realtor. Now with a background in Interior Design, Computer Networking, Retail Marketing and Financial Services, Real Estate would be a perfect Next Step and so I took the leap in late 2006. Yes my timing is impeccable! My first listing was a Short Sale. The great thing about that however was I learned more in my first year of Real Estate than most Agents had over the last 5 years. I quickly learned how to negotiate not only with Buyers and Sellers, but also Banks as well as put together the complex packages required for Short Sales at the time. Now having been licensed and practicing Real Estate for over 10 years I guess you could say it's true that you do become your parents even if you don't want to.
