I have been practicing law for over 25 years. I truly enjoy helping people get through difficult situations. My practice areas include family law, bankruptcy, civil law, criminal defense, landlord-tenant, real estate, probate, wills, and estates, fair debt collection. I am admitted to practice before the Minnesota and Wisconsin Supreme Court, Federal Court, United States Bankruptcy Court, the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe Tribal Court, and the Leach Lake Band of Ojibwe Tribal Court. When I am not at work I love spending time with my wife and our twins, biking, skiing with my dogs, and working on community projects. I am also a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, Minnesota Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, National Associate of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, Paul Bunyan Cyclists and Northland Arboretum. I have served on the Board of Directors for the YMCA, the Brainerd Public Library, and the City of Brainerd Walkable Bikeable Committee.
