For the past 30 years the sight of the Rio Grande Gorge driving into Taos has never failed to induce a feeling of awe and excitement in my gut. For some reason, the first view of this amazing natural creation makes one feel that anything is possible and inspires a feeling of hope. This must be the reason why I have lived here for 30 years and raised two children and numerous dogs and cats right here in Taos. My husband and I were nestled in a small village southeast of Taos called Llano San Juan, outside the village of Penasco. We raised 4 children between us (two of whom were born in the house) and most recently became empty nesters. We recently sold our old adobe in Penasco and moved to condo living in the town of Taos. Being in town, I have access to the Farmers Market on Saturday, enjoy movies at the TCA with real buttered popcorn and wine, and frequently visit the many fantastic art museums. I entered the world of mortgage financing in January of 1998 and it has remained my career of choice these past 20 years. This job has allowed me to help finance homes for many of the wonderful people that live in this community as well as create long lasting relationships. After all, this is home. Home is where you surround yourself with the people you love and care about. It is this aspect of my job that is important to me; helping to create a rich life for others.
