After spending over 40 years in the food hospitality industry in New Hampshire's beautiful Lakes Region, Don Brown decided the timing was right for a new challenge. In May of 2020, he joined the 603 Property Group team, led by his long time friend Lobin Frizzell. The former owner and operator of a popular country inn and restaurant in Sandwich, Don also opened three other restaurants and a catering company with his friend and partner Alex Ray of Common Man renown. Through all this "hands-on" experience, Don built a strong rapport within the local and business community. Don believes the skills that serve a successful restaurateur: excellent customer service, compassion, and perseverance are equally relevant in the real estate world. He brings that same approach and level of service to his current clients. Community involvement is very important to Don, and he has served on a number of civic and non-profit boards in the Lakes Region. He was a co-founder and long time president of the Sandwich Business Group, former president and a founding member of the Annie Forts Up Syndrome Fund, and served on the Board of Directors of the Squam Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and on the Sandwich Recreation Committee. Don has orchestrated countless community events over the past 4 decades, including St. Baldrick's fundraisers, which raise money to help cure childhood cancer. Another of his favorite projects, Don volunteered his time each October to the students at Moultonboro Academy, guiding them through making Corner House Lobster & Mushroom bisque for their Sandwich Fair Senior booth. Serving as a mentor and role model for teenagers and young adults was one of his greatest rewards in the hospitality business. Don lives with his wife, Jane, and youngest daughter, Anna, in a 200+ year-old farmhouse in Center Harbor. Don and Jane are proud parents of two daughters, Anna and her older sister Julia, who were both adopted from Russia. Besides his passion for real estate and food hospitality, Don's pursuits include skiing, scuba diving, and traveling. Don is committed to making your real estate experience the best possible, and looks forward to assisting old friends and making new ones in his role as a realtor with the 603 Property Group.
