I have been a caterer and chef for many years and am a member of Crosspointe Christian Church in Flint, Tx. We have formed a BBQ team called "THE HOLY SMOKERS". We serve others while serving God at the same time! I mention this because being a Realtor is all about serving my clients! This isn't an 8-5 job, this is a being available when my clients need me position. The key is knowing what my clients need. It's not always about a showing, a listing, a price or features. Sometimes it's about being there when we have done everything right and we still did not get the home my clients fell in love with. Other times it's about sorting out what happened when everything seems to be crashing down around us. Emotions run high on both sides during the negotiations of a purchase or a sale of a property. Things just don't always go the way we want them to and I have to be able to adjust on the fly! Buyers find their dream home only to loose out to a higher offer. Or the offer is accepted but the inspection shows hidden structural defects or termite damage. Then there is the appraisal... what happens if it does not support the price offered? Sellers face the same obstacles and an option period in which the buyer can terminate the contract for any reason. Don't get me wrong, many contracts close without any issues. But having the right Realtor who knows how to navigate through tough issues is imperative. I am part of a team who knows how to handle tough unexpected situations. In my 65 years of life I have learned one thing... Life happens! Sometimes I didn't get what I wanted and I'm grateful I didn't. But I can say this: when I didn't get what I wanted it was always replaced by something better! My slogan, "God's timing will never diminish my blessing" has been proven to be true over and over again!
