DAVID M. ODDO, a member of the firm Oddo & Babat, P.C., is a prominent New York trial attorney known for his attention to his clients, as well as his trial skills, which has resulted in many large verdicts and settlements. He has dedicated his career to representing people whose lives have been devastated by the negligence and recklessness of others. As an Assistant District Attorney in the Nassau County District Attorney's Office (1989-1993), Mr. Oddo fought for crime victims in his prosecution of serious criminal cases. He was admitted to the New York State and Connecticut Bar in 1990 and is also admitted in the United States District Courts, Southern and Eastern Districts of New York (1993). In May 2016, Mr. Oddo was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. He is a Past-President-Elect of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association (NYSTLA) and has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2010. He has also served as Vice Chair of the NYSTLA Legislative Committee (2015-17) and served as Secretary (2015-17). Mr. Oddo is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, a distinction given to less than one percent of lawyers licensed to practice in each jurisdiction.
