My name is Dan Faretta and I am a financial advisor with Edward Jones. I grew up in Panama City, FL and have always had a passion for helping people and investing, which began when my dad got me a stock account when I was 15 years old. That experience led me to attended Elmhurst College, where I majored in finance and international business. After graduation, I spent the next 12 years gaining real world experience in risk management and worked my way up to head trader at two different commodity firms. Being from the south, I enjoy fishing, golfing and playing tennis. I have a wife (Valeri), son (Peter), daughter (Francesca) and a dog (Stout). As a family, we spend much of our time outside.After having a son, I knew I wanted to get more involved in my community. I have been a Darien Rotarian since we moved to the area, and it has opened my eyes to the tremendous need in our local community. The Rotary Club's Food for Kids program helps provide extra nutrition for local elementary school students and has been a great honor for me to be part of such a great organization.
