Curt is a full time broker/owner of Sharon Drake Real Estate and has two decades of experience in negotiation, regulatory law, and prudent decision making. Prior to joining the real estate industry, Curt practiced environmental law with several international law firms, guiding the development and environmental compliance of energy and natural resources projects for companies worldwide. Curtis also pioneered modern legal agreements to assist in the protection of marine and terrestrial biodiversity resources for the U.S. National Park Service and international Marine Protected Areas around the world, including in Yemen, Columbia, and Costa Rica. Curt works with buyers and sellers at all price points. He prides himself on his attention to detail, market knowledge, and in-depth history with the marine environment here in Maine. Curt has assisted in the development of waterfront subdivisions, conservation efforts, island sales, and the sale of family legacies and large farmland properties. Curt has also assisted in the sale of the region's highest value inns, luxury homes and commercial properties. No job is too small, or too large! Curt was raised in Bath and graduated from Morse High School in 1986. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1990 and then Vermont Law School 1994. Curt earned a masters and a law degree in three years and then worked in Washington D.C for just under 10 years. Curt returned to Maine in 2001 after having worked in Europe, Africa, South America, and the Middle East on issues ranging from climate change to biodiversity conservation. Curt is an avid skier, sailor, and fisherman, and enjoys building, gardening, and kayaking. Be sure to meet his dog Bodhi.
