Christian:I remember as a kid watching This Old House and Hometime with my parents and talking about what I liked and didn't like about each episode. As I got a little older, I would walk through new construction, trying to figure out the layout of rooms and what things would look like throughout different construction phases. So, I guess real estate has been in my blood for most of my life. One of my first jobs was in construction, but I did not get along very well with the Connecticut winters and working outside in the cold weather. So, I made the move to finance to learn about the lending industry and then became a Realtor. I was an agent and broker for about a decade, even owning a firm for a short period of time. The perfect storm of the 2008 market crash, having my first of two children and losing my wife to illness caused me to rethink the long hours of working for myself. I decided it was best for my family to return to corporate America. I became a vendor for Walmart and then an associate, relocating to NW Arkansas. I've spent the better part of the last decade working for Walmart Realty, watching my boys grow into teenagers. Newly married to my beautiful wife and business partner, Sonia, we have a blended family with four kids and four amazing grandkids. Through all of this, I've always felt a calling to return to real estate. In discussions with Sonia, I learned she shared my interest. After careful deliberation, we decided to form a team complementing our strengths, and 789 - SOLD was born. We've lived in Bentonville, Springdale and now Elm Springs and have over 17 years of combined real estate experience. He is a relocated northerner and I'm a southern girl from Mississippi. He had kids late in life and I had kids early. He is into numbers and strategy and I am the talk-to-everyone-about-anything person. That is probably why we work so well together, both in family and in business. I am the yin to his yang. Growing up in the south, we have the gift for gab, which is probably why my background is more on the service side. I spent my early years in law enforcement before relocating briefly to Louisianna and then NW Arkansas. Once in NWA, I spent time in the medical field helping people through those stressful times in life. However, like Christian, I've always had an interest in real estate, design and decorating. When Christian and I started talking about his interest in returning to residential real estate, I was eager to learn from his years of experience. I was amazed at how he talked about that part of his life and the passion he felt about it. That got me even more interested, especially when I was studying for the exams.
