I have been a Real Estate Broker for 24 years concentrating on the Northampton area and the Western MA towns in the Pioneer Valley. I started my real estate career in 1996 after a successful 12-year career doing sales and marketing for The Lee Company. When I began my career in Real Estate I worked 7 years with Goggins Real Estate and then opened my own real estate agency, Cathy Hunter Real Estate in 2004. I then returned to Goggins Real Estate in 2011. It is with great integrity and caring that I approach each client I work with in either selling or buying a home. I have utilized my extensive marketing experience assisting sellers to maximize the opportunities available to successfully sell their home. At the same time I have worked tirelessly to become the most informed resource available to my clients in all aspects of the real estate transaction. After taking advantage of all educational opportunities to become an Accredited and Certified Buyer Representative I have aquired the tools needed to assist Buyers at the highest level. Over the past years I have taken time to understand the perspective of clients in regard to the financial impact of buying and selling a home. Through courses and face to face meetings with clients I have gained insight into understanding how buying or selling a home can impact their financial goals. I particularly enjoy working with first time buyers who need the most guidance in one of the biggest purchases they will ever make. I become an excellent partner in helping them understand each step before we begin so that there are no surprises along the way. I often become the devils advocate when they fall in love with a property so that they are aware of all the things that will need attention after the purchase. Some buyers have said "Don't you want to sell me a house because you talk me out of most." I treat my buyers as if I were purchasing the house myself. My 24 years of experience and familiarity with the area allows me to point out great aspects of living in a particular neighborhood or letting them know where the waste treatment plant is located, which roads get real busy at rush hour, how close the dump is in relationship to the house and on and on. With each of my clients, I combine my experience, energy and willingness to be a great resource in making the real estate experience a fulfilling and fun process.
