Carolyn Joyner

As a child, I worked on the land during the summer as my family were sharecroppers. Despite my family's financial circumstances, I had a dream to attend college. When I graduated from Farmville Central High School in 1976, I promised my mom that I would not ask her for money for my tuition. And with the Lord's help, I was accepted at Bennett College, School of Fine Arts, in Greensboro, North Carolina. I pursued a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics and Concentration: Clothing and Textiles. After graduating from college, I moved to Washington DC. I was very active in ministries and served in the Homeless Ministry, feeding and clothing individuals in the community. In 2014, I earned my second Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from North Carolina Wesleyan College in Rocky Mount, NC. I worked for ABB and Hitachi Energy for 22 years as an Shared Service accounting Analyst and Operation Service Analyst. In 2022, I relocated to Greenville, NC to retire from my job and to be closer to my family. I officially retired from my Job in June of 2023. Since moving to Greenville, I am now a member of the Koinonia Christian Center. My goal has been to become a Real Estate Broker. I Passed the NCREC exam on June 3, 2024. I am happy to apart of Keller Williams Realty.
