Carlos holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Chile and an LL.M. (Master in Laws) from The University of Michigan. He also holds Master's degree in Political Science and in Public Administration. He is admitted to practice law in Chile and in the State of Michigan, in the Western U.S. District Court of Michigan and in the U. S. Sixth Circuit Court, and in several Tribal jurisdictions throughout the United States.Carlos has more than thirty-two years of experience. He has served as in-house counsel advising an oil and gas exploration company on drafting international operating agreements, joint ventures and monitoring international compliance. His experience includes dealings with Chilean, Argentinian, Brazilian, Mexican and Venezuelan state oil and gas companies. He has led project finance efforts to fund international oil & gas exploration, and designed and drafted corporate restructuring to meet project financing requirements. In his private practice he has advised oil & gas service companies focused on the United States market, where he has drafted title opinions, unitization and pooling agreements, and has researched and established corporate entities that better meet the desired financing objectives. His current practice includes business and family immigration as well as real estate transactions.
