I was inspired to become a financial advisor when I saw how unprepared many people, including my parents, were for retirement. Watching my parents and my friends’ parents struggle financially through their later years drove me to question how I could help others prepare for and navigate retirement so they, hopefully, would not have the same burdens. That also led me to open my first Edward Jones account in 1987 to help secure my own future. Luckily, when I was in my 20s, I met a small business owner, John, in my hometown. John went to work every day in blue jeans and a red polo shirt with his logo on the chest. I saw his integrity, how he never cut corners, and most of all, how he always put an emphasis on honesty, quality products and service. He left a lasting impression on me that helped me in my personal and business life. My goal is to continue his business ethics with my clients and prospective clients and their families. When you enter our office, you can expect to be greeted with a friendly smile, a warm welcome and dedicated support from one of our two branch office administrators, Whittney Ray and Lisa Tharp.After joining Edward Jones, I was asked, and accepted, an opportunity to become a limited partner with the firm in 2015. Prior to joining Edward Jones in 2009, I had 17 years' experience handling financials and owning small businesses. I hold Series 7 and Series 66 securities registrations as well as an insurance license. I earned the Accredited Asset Management Specialist®, or AAMS®, designation from the College for Financial Planning® in 2012.* My wife, Pat, and I live in Babcock Ranch. We regularly attend church, we enjoy playing golf together, and we serve our community through many local organizations. On a national level, we help the Alzheimer’s Association raise money to find a cure for Alzheimer’s disease. Pat worked as a physical therapist for 37 years before she retired in 2022. She now teaches Pilates in her spare time.
