I was a salesman for different companies during my early career path – moving from company to company and always having compensation plans and sales quotas change was frustrating to me. I then decided to develop my own early retirement plan to get out of the corporate rat race. This led me to investing at Edward Jones and later having a conversation with a financial advisor about becoming an advisor myself. That was in 2006, and I've been serving individuals, families and small businesses in the community ever since. In 2023, I was honored to be selected by Edward Jones home office to start the first non-family team at Edward Jones, Hallett, Conklin, Whitworth Financial Management Team. The best part of my job is, of course, being able to help clients with achieving their financial goals in life. It's very meaningful and most every client appreciates the work we do for them. Our clients are people who have an interest in their own finances and who want to document and have a strategy for their financial goals. Our branch team brings value to our clients by having someone they can talk to in person and not a phone bank, and the knowledge that their Edward Jones team is part of the community. The branch office administrators, do most of the heavy lifting for our team. I joke with clients that I work for them because they contribute so much to the successful operation of our office. They are still getting to know all the clients of our new team, but they are hard at work trying to make the client experience the best it can be. I've been married for 35 years to my wife, Cheryl. We have two grown boys, Jacob and Justin. Jacob, our oldest, has recently joined our team as a financial advisor. Cheryl and I like to explore, hike, camp and travel. We also enjoy spending time with our three grandchildren.I became a financial advisor with Edward Jones in order to serve investors in a deep and meaningful way. Our financial health determines so much of our life's trajectory, and it is an honor to help our clients organize, plan, protect and transfer their wealth.
