Brenda Dubbelman remembers the exact date that she officially began her real estate career: July 1, 1998. But she had been preparing for that day for almost her entire life. "My Mom was a Realtor in Virginia Beach for many years, so I grew up in the culture and loved the energy. I would go with her to open houses and show homes. Mom was a top producer, so I learned from the best." Brenda would first become a successful hairstylist, but after 20 years, burnout struck. Real estate was her natural choice. Plus, she had already established a large clientele. "If you can trust someone with your hair, a house is a small thing," she says, half-jokingly. As an agent with Coldwell Banker Advantage in Cary, N.C., Brenda works the entire Triangle area - specializing in residential resale and new construction. She is a Senior Real Estate Specialist, as well as certified in Relocation and Investments. She has been awarded Coldwell Banker's International President's Circle Award, which puts her in the Top 10% of all Coldwell Banker agents internationally. "It's so fulfilling to work with clients and, now, the next generation," she says. "It's a privilege to help families with multiple transactions." Faith, home and family resonate for Brenda. She and her husband, Peter, are true partners. He is an associate pastor of Apex Baptist Church, where Brenda is active in helping the ministry. Peter is also the administrator of Brenda's business. The couple are parents to four grown children and five grandchildren. "I am a true people-person," declares Brenda.
