Bill Payne has lived in Mount Pleasant since 2004. Prior to becoming a Loan Officer in 2005, Bill worked for a private equity group in New York as a Controller for one of the venture groups focusing heavily on acquisitions. He accepted this role after serving as a Manager with the Assurance and Advisory Business division for Ernst & Young. There, his duties included providing strategic planning for SEC clients as well as guiding the board of directors on new government legislation. His background as a Certified Public Accountant and experience with private equity suit him very well for working with clients in this industry. He is a graduate of Birmingham-Southern College in Birmingham, Alabama, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting. He, his wife Amy, son William, and daughter Hayes live in Mount Pleasant.
