I went to work for a Certified Public Accounting (CPA) firm back in January of 1997. The firm focused on IRS and state representation services. Over nearly five years working there, I was exposed to all sorts of taxpayer problems and became extremely skilled at representing those taxpayers to secure levy and lien releases, offer-in-compromise (OIC) tax settlements, penalty abatements and to resolve countless varieties of problems. I started my own practice in 2001 then joined up with Donald Peterson, CPA in 2005 to and we became known as Burkhart Peterson. I've been representing taxpayers before IRS and the states for over 25 years now and I believe we are the best in the business.
