Benjamin was born on the West Coast, but grew up on the East Coast in Wilmington, NC. He moved to Raleigh to attend college at NC State University to study mechanical engineering. After 2 years in Raleigh, and one semester studying overseas at Melbourne University in Australia, he decided to change degrees and graduated with a degree in Christian Ministry from Morningstar School of Ministry in Charlotte, NC. He spent 8 years in the Queen City while making frequent visits to the High Country to go backpacking on many of the surrounding trails. Falling in love with the beautiful natural surroundings, he decided to purchase his first home off the Blue Ridge Parkway as his retreat from the city. Within a year he decided that the mountains were the place for him and moved here permanently. His business background is in retail sales, with 8 years as a Produce Manager for Food Lion in various locations throughout NC. In 2009 he went back to school at Lees McRae College in Banner Elk and obtained his BS in Business Administration in 2011. His interest in real estate goes back for many years, with the past 6 years spent as an investor in Charlotte and Boone. Before becoming a Broker, he personally bought or sold 25 properties, and has experience in foreclosures, property auctions, subdividing land, managing short-term/long-term rentals, owner-financing, and house remodels and flips. He loves working with buyers to find the perfect home at a great price. When working with sellers, he goes out of his way to market their property as if it was his own! In 2018, he branched out to start his own firm, and has over 100M in sales now under his belt. The focus of the firm is to provide the highest level of market expertise, investment consulting, competitive commission rates to clients, expert negotiation skills, aggressive marketing strategies, and professionalism.
