Beixiao Robert Liu is the Managing Partner of the Balance Law Firm in New York, New York, and represents corporations and individuals in legal matters related to financial markets, banking, bankruptcy, employment and labor law, mergers and acquisitions, international economic and trade law, and aviation law, among many others. A Chartered Financial Analyst, he is also well-versed in handling business issues pertaining to capital markets, anti-money laundering, banking and financial regulations, as well as financial technology. He is fluent in Mandarin.After completing his undergraduate studies in finance from Tsinghua University, Mr. Liu was accepted into the Yale School of Management through the Silver Scholar Program to pursue a higher education. After receiving his MBA in business and management, he went to work for the Promontory Financial Group, part of IBM, where he rose through the ranks to serve in a variety of impactful roles, including advising CEOs of large banks in the United States and China on risk management and corporate governance. While growing his career at IBM, Mr. Liu simultaneously attended the evening program at the Georgetown University Law Center, receiving his Juris Doctor in international law and legal studies in 2015.
