About Sandy and Barb: (Sandy) Hi, my name is Sandy Flynn. I moved here to Western Washington in 1980 from Jackson, Michigan where I was born and raised. My husband and I were transferred here on a job assignment for a year. We ended up falling in love with the Pacific Northwest and knew this is where we wanted to lay down our roots. We raised 3 children here who are all now grown, married and still living in the area. We have six grandchildren, five grandsons one granddaughter, and a sweet old pooch. We convinced our family to move out here from Michigan over the years and we now have 40 family members living close by us. My husband and I just celebrated our 43rd wedding anniversary and are looking forward to downsizing and simplifying our life. My career in real estate began at Providence Point, the first active retirement community in Western Washington. I was an integral part of the planning and development of this community and still today remain very active in selling and listing homes there. Providence Point is where my passion working with and helping to guide people as they make decisions about retirement living began. I have gained knowledge over the years of most independent communities in Western Washington. In addition to 55+ communities, I am very active in guiding people through the process of selling their homes and downsizing. When I'm not working you will find me spending time with family and friends, cooking, going to the theatre, reading, cheering on the Seahawks, golfing, traveling, and unwinding at our family cabin. (Barb)Hello, my name is Barb Simonson. I have been lucky enough to have lived in the beautiful Pacific Northwest my whole life, raising 4 children with my husband Bob. We now have 4 grandchildren, 3 grandsons and 1 granddaughter who keep me busy, along with two kittens we have recently adopted. Bob and I have been married for 36 years, settling in Issaquah where we have lived ever since. We have watched this small town grow into a metropolitan city! I enjoy the activities my local area has to offer, especially hiking and walking. I also love visiting Southern California and relaxing on the beach. At home I enjoy entertaining and cooking for my family and friends. My favorite thing to cook is a fresh pot of soup from scratch every week in the winter. A much loved and cherished part of my day is my one hour quiet time I spend every morning. I have been in the real estate business for over 25 years, starting my career at Providence Point in Issaquah. Having spent so much time with the residents of this 55+ community, I have been blessed to hear their life stories, and it is an honor for me to share my experience and knowledge with them in return.
