Ashley W. Edwards joined Walzer Melcher with four years of experience as a litigation associate at a well-respected law firm in Sherman Oaks. Ashley successfully represented landlords and management companies of both residential and commercial properties in Los Angeles and Orange counties in all aspects of landlord-tenant, fair housing, and real estate law. Ashley's experience both in and out of the courtroom, coupled with her enthusiasm for the law, enable her to effectively represent her clients in all aspects of complex family law matters. Ashley recognizes each case is unique and takes time to provide her clients with thorough legal analyses and creative case strategies to guide them through the legal process in order to achieve their goals. Prior to entering law school, Ashley graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina. After graduation, from 2009-2010, Ashley served as an AmeriCorps Volunteer in Service to America, designing a college access program for a non-profit organization in Massachusetts, formalizing sustainable partnerships with local colleges to successfully transition underserved young adults into post-secondary education. It was through her service Ashley observed the impact that laws and policies have on the individual and solidified her decision to become an attorney. Ashley received her law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where she served as the Editor in Chief of the Pittsburgh Journal of Technology Law and Policy. Ashley received multiple honors in recognition of her leadership and service, including for her work as an instructor for the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project, where she taught constitutional law and civil rights courses.
