With more than 25 years of civil litigation experience, Anthony has tried numerous cases to verdict in federal and state courts, including New Jersey's administrative courts, and has argued before the appellate courts and the New Jersey Supreme Court. His practice encompasses all areas of civil litigation, including commercial; construction; medical, legal and professional malpractice; products liability; automobile; and other personal injury matters. He also serves as municipal, labor and board of education counsel to various public entities. Anthony currently serves as General Counsel for the Bayonne Board of Education; Special and Labor Counsel to the City of Bayonne, and General Counsel to the Town of Secaucus. Previously, Anthony served as General Counsel to the Clifton Board of Education for eighteen years and as Counsel for the Borough of North Arlington. Anthony has also served as General Counsel to the North Arlington Board of Education. Anthony has an extensive background in negotiating collective bargaining agreements, and has represented his clients in connection with binding compulsory arbitration resulting from a failure of negotiations to reach settlement. He has successfully represented clients in various land use disputes, including defending a breach of contract claim in connection with the closure of the controversial 1E Landfill and nearby baler in the New Jersey Meadowlands. Anthony has successfully prosecuted numerous catastrophic injury cases, and obtained multiple jury verdicts in excess of $5 million on behalf of his clients. Recent verdicts have included a $2.9 million decision on behalf of the family of a woman who died of cervical cancer due to medical malpractice, and a $1.6 million jury verdict on behalf of the family of a woman who died of a massive cerebral hemorrhage after her physician misdiagnosed her condition. In recognition of his professional accomplishments, Anthony was named a (r) by , placing him among the top five percent of attorneys in the state.
