Amy Petrenko

Amy Petrenko is a broker associate at the Lake Norman office and resides on the lake, 20 miles north of Charlotte, North Carolina. Having moved 16 times while her husband was an active-duty senior army officer, Amy's experience is rarely found, but more importantly, is an advantage for her customers. Amy excels at listening and understanding the needs of customers. Using her superior knowledge of the market, she customizes plans to achieve customer goals quickly and effortlessly. She believes every customer must be well represented, with integrity and respect, which leads to her exceptional service and results. During the many moves, she kept her children positive and involved in the community. Amy homeschooled her children until high school while her husband was deployed for various amounts of time around the world. Their son moved just before the start of his senior year and their daughter went to three high schools in three states. The family not only survived but is thriving. Their children attend Harvard Business School and UNC Medical School. Amy also helped three states understand the nuances of moving in high school and assisted those states in signing the Military Children's Interstate Compact, which helps all transient students graduate on time. After spending three years in Saudi Arabia in her husband's last active duty assignment, they chose Lake Norman, where every day begins with beauty and inspiration. Amy loves to be outdoors and spends her time biking, running, walking, weight training, boating and kayaking. Amy is a graduate of Miami University of Ohio. She serves as the co-chair for Bethel Presbyterian Church's Silent Auction, helping raise money for various charities. She also volunteers with JDRF. Amy has always volunteered and was awarded the Presidential Freedom Corp Volunteer Award and the Secretary of the Army Award for Public Service. She strives to be a resilient individual who loves helping people. Vic and Amy are thankful for the relationships they have built with their customers and for all the opportunities to assist. According to the Charlotte Business Journal, Vic and Amy had the highest-priced sale on Lake Norman in 2019. As of August 27, 2020, Vic and Amy were the brokers with the highest closed sales in Cornelius.
