As a young person, I knew that I wanted to help people. When I pursued secondary education, I learned quickly that my aptitude was in business and economics, instead of health or other areas that I assumed would be most helpful to people. While I greatly enjoyed my classes in economics, I struggled with how this degree would translate into my greater goal: helping people. When I graduated from TCU, I moved back to East Texas and worked for a local university's business school by recruiting and admitting new students. As I met with families for almost two years, I began to realize that there was still a great need for financial advice for most families today. Something was beginning to tug on my heartstrings about using my economics degree. As I began to picture what my career could look like, it became very important to me to build my business at home. I wanted to help people that I know, and bring access to investing and options for financial advice to my hometown. Edward Jones allowed me to work in the town I grew up in. A fun fact: my office is in the same building that my mother worked in as a young professional. These type of ties to my surroundings are important to me. I feel a calling to share the knowledge that I had a great privilege to go to school and learn with people around me . My hope is that I can make a positive impact on my own community through my work as a financial advisor. I work with clients by building strategies tailored to their particular situations. Every person's goals are different; I enjoy working with clients to identify their goals and personalize a strategy to help achieve those goals over time. I enjoy working with clients near and afar; clients can expect to run into me at spin class, at the garden center or on the walking trail with our dogs.
