We met when we lived in Northern California wine country. We have loved our homes in special places including in the Las Vegas desert and on the island of Oahu. When it was time to retire and find our forever home we wandered to the mountains and swiftly fell in love again. Nestled in the hills well behind Santa Barbara and Ojai, halfway between Valencia and Bakersfield rests a tiny village where we found wonderful friends in a community of folks who genuinely care about helping one another. The surrounding national forest reminds us that we are guests who must care for the land and creatures who are kind enough to share it with us.
