A big, unforeseen event will often change the trajectory of a person's life in a positive way. For broker Ali Mivehi, that event was the housing crisis of 2008. Ali was living a comfortable life working as a manager for Macy's at the time, but the market crash changed everything. He watched his parents lose their home. Although the experience left Ali feeling powerless, it also provided him with a deep sense of purpose. Since the beginning of his career, Ali has had a single mission: to provide his clients with the kind of personalized, helpful service his parents should have had. In 2010, Ali purchased his first home, and in 2013, he obtained a bachelor's degree in communications from San Jose State University. In 2015, he became an agent, and as it turned out, a career in real estate was tailor-made for someone with sharp communication skills like Ali's. He quickly received a Rookie of the Year Award for his exceptional ability to execute on the needs of his clients. Since then, Ali has earned his broker's license and has helped numerous families create financial security through homeownership. Born in Tehran, Ali and his family moved to Germany in 1986. They arrived in San Jose in 1995, and have called it home ever since, giving Ali a near-native knowledge of the area. When he's not helping clients realize their real estate goals, Ali enjoys lifting weights, playing basketball, and spending time with his wife and children. Ali's family is hugely important to him, and he believes they provide a solid foundation from which he can better serve his clients.
