Ali grew up in Austin and later earned a BS from Baylor University in Economics. He subsequently earned his Juris Doctor from Texas A&M University and entered private law practice as an attorney at regional and national law firms representing large banks, government enterprises such as Fannie Mae, and national mortgage companies during the financial crisis. After the financial crisis Ali transitioned from a successful law practice to building financial institutions, insurance, and real estate companies. In 2017 and 2018, Ali led several successful exists, including the sale and divesture of leading national mortgage and title insurance concerns based in Texas and Florida. Ali lives in West Austin with his wife and three sons. When off the clock, he is passionate about philanthropy, vintage cars, live music, and fitness.
